  1. different specs? 4 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Jan 2016

I have to agree with Dwight on a previous review. This most recent mag needed much more fitting than the last one. The follower seems to be a little more"sluggish" than the last one. Maybe it needs broken in a little more. Had a few jams in my last match. Shipping was fast and packaged well. Did notice that the front seam/rib on the mag is hard on your hands during quick and constant mag changes. Overall a good product. I would buy another.

  2. awesome mag. 5 Star Review

A little bit of filing and it fit perfect. Would really like a drum mag for the 20 gauge though.

  3. Good product once you fit it. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Jan 2016

This is a good quality mag that feeds well and will last a long time. The shipping was faster than I had expected and the packaging was great. Only downside was I had allot of filing to do in order for these two to fit properly. I bought one back in May, 2014 and only had to file a small amount to obtain the proper fit. These newer ones have much more excess metal. Once you get them fitted you can enjoy them.

  4. Why does it need to be modified? 3 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Sep 2015

First, the magazine is steel and well constructed. Should last a lifetime. Second, the spring has just the right strength. Third, you can look all you want, these 20 ga. mags are scarce - so thank you for making them.
BUT... as an engineer, I can see no reason that the end user has to file and/or grind anything. And don't make excuses for this - they're not valid. Using the factory magazines as a template - simply revamp the manufacturing process and begin with a "perfect" fit.

  5. well made 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Feb 2015

Product was packaged well and shipped quickly. Took a little more filing than expected but I was really going slow as to not remove to much material. As long as you load these
Mags correctly they function great. Looks like I need to order more. I only wish they made these for the Saiga 410.

  6. Nice Mag!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Jan 2015

Magazines were shipped super fast, very nice packaging. Quality of construction is first rate. You will need to modify the magazine catch as per the instructions for proper lock-up. If you are handy with a Dremel type multitool it is a piece of cake. As another poster noted, don't waste your money on cheap, plastic, EBAY junk. Get these metal ones, especially if you are counting on your saiga 20 for home defense. I will be buying a few more. Thanks CSSPECS!!!

  7. Awesome mag 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Dec 2014

I picked this mag up looking for a bit more capacity over the cheesy 5rd mags. After about five minutes of file fitting the mag fits perfect and even the first time out functioned flawlessly. I will be buying more of these!

  8. Great feeding magazine 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Nov 2014

The Csspecs Saiga 20 (10 round) steel magazine is built like a tank. After initial unboxing, I checked the function of the follower and it did seem a bit sticky. This happened at the very top and towards the bottom of the stroke of the magazine. THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. After hand cycling the magazine several hundred times and good cleaning, the follower moves smoothly. As the directions state, you need to be sure to seat the rim of the shells in the groove in the spine of the magazine. This take a few loadings to get the hang of but once you find your own method of getting the shells in there properly, they load very well. I have run 8 fully loaded mags thru the gun and the magazine fed flawlessly.

A friend that came to the range with me brought one of the Ebay plastic 10 round magazines and it would only feed if there were just 2 rounds in the mag. I took the plastic magazine apart and cannot believe what a horribly designed product it is. The follower can rock too much in the mag causing the rounds to tip forward (nose down) when the bolt tries to pick up the round. This causes the end of the round to jam into the bottom of the bullet guide. THERE IS NO FIXING THIS PROBLEM. This is another reason to only buy Csspecs magazines!

Thank you for engineering and building a great feeding magazine!!!
