  1. New mags better quality than older ones 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Mar 2024

The design of the original has been improved by a new base plate as well as a shorter spot welded spine (which made multiple mag changes uncomfortable). I also believe overall metal quality has improves in fit and finish, probably with new machinery. My only complaint is the "minor" 5-minute filing. Seems like there could me a magic mag tab where no fitting is required. --The new mags are so much better I look at my original mags and wish I could swap them back to CSSPECS.

  2. Best value 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Feb 2024

Full sized heavy duty steel, far superior to the other U.S. brand that is polymer. Mine work without fitment, but it's nice to know that I could file a little bit off, if I want to make them work smoother. The original non-U.S. manufacturer magazine brand is good, but it is nearly double the price, and is not as durable as these, since they are made of polymer. Get yours now before they are gone.

  3. Very close and well made, but imperfect on a level of critical importance. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Dec 2023

Writing this review before I've had a chance to test them out at the range, this due to my Vepr being sent off in a couple of weeks for full rework and barrel shortening, from the ground up. Including the DA/Briley mag well that requires fitment itself.

As the title says, beautiful workmanship aside from one glaring oversight. This being the second layer of steel causing hanging up's in my BCS chest rig and mag pouches due to a 90 degree corner. The lower edge of this second layer needs around a 50 degree chamfer, or long radius fillet down to zero thickness better yet on the sides to smooth the edge out prevent this from occurring. Most are not going to notice since they're either running comp style pouches, much less a chest rig, or no pouches at all.

If there is a resolution to this issue, please let me know, because rectifying this is going to rocket the investment, and these being acquired specifically for that chest rig makes it hurt all the worse. As such, I have to knock off a star at this time. Sorry guys, close, but no cigar.

Should this change in the future, I will happily revisit this review.

  4. The best magazines for my VEPR 12 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Dec 2022

This is the third time that I have ordered from Csspec. I have multiple 10 to 12 round magazines for my shotgun. These are the best. They slide in and out of the magazine well easily. Very quick shipping, I want to say I had these in three days after ordering.

  5. HANDS DOWN the BEST Vepr-12 Magazine You Can Buy! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Aug 2022

To all you illiterate whiners out there. READ the instructions and the note from CSSPECS regarding tolerance variances in the manufacture of YOUR Vepr-12. I have 8 of these mags and I had to Dremel every one of them to fit my Vepr. This is NOT the fault of CSSPECS. If you want a factory polymer mag, go buy some SGM Tactical crap. Quit your whining, spend a little time, and do some fitment work on these excellent mags. Nobody likes a whiny b*tch.

  7. Best Magazine made for a Vepr12! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Aug 2021

Took a little bit of fitting with a file about 10 minutes for that perfect fit, was easy with a good file and the video csspecs has to watch.
Magazine loads easy and feeds without any hiccups at all, as my mad money account grows, so will my csspec Vepr12 magazine collection!

  8. Great VEPR 12 Magazine 5 Star Review

  9. Works great with small amount of fitting. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Apr 2021

Great mags built like a tank, they may require a small amount of fitting but that is easy.

  10. A little fitting required but... 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Jan 2021

After the small amount of fitting that was required this magazine locks up tight and drops free when released. The fitting video on YouTube made it pretty easy to fit. I ran a box of AAs through one of these magazines without a problem. The only criticism I have is that they are heavy compared to factory vepr mags and I am still wondering why they need to be fitted when factory vepr mags do not. At half the cost of factory mags these seem like a great deal for reliable magazines. The shipping was also better than expected. Thanks

Csspecs: steel is not flexible so fit tolerance is less forgiving.
