M14 30 round magazine

  • Floor plate is made for easy removal to allow for cleaning. Center button is depressed and the floor plate is slid forward allowed to rise and then slid to the back to disengage from the body.

Many 30 round magazines for the M-14 have been made over the last 50+ years, few have been deemed reliable.

This new design not just a stretched 20 round but is made to be a true working 30 round magazine.

Corrugated stampings on the feed lips prevent deforming with the higher spring loads needed for 30 round magazine.

Front catch is reinforced with an additional layer to reinforce this critical location.

Magazine is curved after a short straight section to prevent low feeding.

Floor plate is removable without tools to allow easy cleaning.

Follower is laser cut to allow exaggerated bolt stop.

Rear contact point is fully CNC milled and conventionally spot welded rather than projection welded.

Magazine is 8.625 long and weighs 12 ounces empty.

Magazine finish is Black Nitride.

    I picked up 2 of these for use in my M1A SOCOM CQB and they're effectively perfect.

    Highly recommend and will certainly pick up another one or two of these.

    I Bought 2 of these 30 round Works of Art,and Plan on at Least 1 to 2 more,because they Work Flawless,just like Every Other Magazines that I've Purchased from CSSPECS,and I don't even Own an M14,Not Yet,but I will soon,I Got my Eye on a Bula!,These 30 Round Magazines are made so Well,I bought them before the Rifle!

    It's rare for extended magazines for .308 rifles to be as reliable as the 20 rounders, but these guys found a way. These are equally as reliable as Checkmates, and are a great deal compared to Springfield mags.

    I bought two of these mags a couple months ago. they fit nice and snug in my m1a and work without fail so far. As of now, they are nothing short of awesome.

    Ordered 2 J-6 30 round magazines for M1a 11-26-2020 received them 12-01-2020.(In my world that's pretty quick these days) Unpacked wiped them down, put one straight into the weapon fit perfectly. No fitting both fit like a glove. ( to find after marked parts made this well made in todays world is rare)

    Bought 3. Super impressed on design. Fast shipping. Well packaged. As other reviewer noted these fit better than gi mags! The slight curve also assists in the rock to lock in. No problem loading the full 30. Feeds great! Ok 2 small complaints. The finish on mine is uneven, almost looked rubbed off on the center; and the top rear of the follower that appears to activate the bolt stop when empty, is very sharp.

    Csspecs:
    Finish can be rubbed with a little oil which will make it darken again, the grain of the finish is dry which makes it reflect more looking grey. The sharper upper corner on the follower bolt stop is somewhat unavoidable, blunting the corner makes it less reliable.

    I've bought 3 of these magazines now and have loved every one of them. They feed flawlessly, fit into the rifle better than gi magazines, and are the only 30rd magazines that works for the m14. They even cost less than the magazines Springfield sells for the m1a under their own name so if you're willing to spend the money for a rebranded checkmate then do yourself a massive favor and give these a try.

    Ive used your mags for years in my Zastava My so I was not surprised when the 30rd M14 worked just as well. Its the ONLY 30rd mag I found that functions 100% of the time in the M14. I wish you made 20rd ones as well because I would use them exclusively. Keep making quality products lile this and I'll be a life long customer.
