20 round capacity for the MK II bolt action by savage. Also fits Lakefield Mark II rifles since they are basically the same.
Does NOT fit the Savage 62 64. If you think it might fit a rifle not listed above please ask BEFORE ordering.
These magazines are fully laser cut, and are welded instead of crimped together.
View holes at 3,5,10,15 and 20.
Magazine is Carbon steel with a molten salt nitride finish, stainless steel follower.
Please note we suggest a break in process as shown in video below. Magazine feed will be slightly sticky the first couple uses.
Ammo selection:
Please note that some longer bullet profiles result in stiff loading and sluggish feeding as the added length causes binding in the magazine.
Here is a sample of bullets we have on hand. Both the ones indicated with the arrows did feed, however it is difficult to load to 20 rounds.
Some ammo will only work loaded to 10 or 15 rounds. If you use the correct loadings, the magazines load easily.
Interestly many bulk pack loadings cycle very well.
Rimfire magazines are restricted in many cases just like centerfire.

Works great

Works perfect. Follow the instructions it's not hard. From the first time I used it it performed flawlessly. And doesn't get in the way when using a bipod. It's worth it.

A solution for Savage/Stevens Model 85.

Converted to use in Savage Model 85, magazine fed version of the "Gill Gun". A little careful file work and it fit. Range test showed it worked. READ INSTRUCTIONS that CSS provides ! Some brand of ammo work better than others. Remington Golden Bullet worked fine with full 20 rounds. Aguila would only fit about 16.Thanks to CSS for a mag that works in my favorite .22 semi auto.

Hard as Heck to load!

There is definitely something wrong with these. They are hard as heck to load!! And they must be aware there’s a problem because they give you this little tool that tries to help You love them, but it doesn’t work. I bought these, hoping they would load like the five shot original, But they do not! I could load the five original Three times as fast as I could load this 20 round clip. Maybe they’ll get better but there’s definitely a flaw.
Csspecs:
We put several warnings, the first is in the product description, another at checkout asking to please read the product description, which has a check box. I'm out of ideas for how to get customers to stop and read instructions.
No one will bother to read anything.

Hard to load!

I was only able to load 13 in one and 14 in the other. I sent an email out with the information and got no response.
Csspecs:
We have been having problems with our emails either going to spam or not being delivered.
If you check the product detail on the 20 round you will find that certain ammo works significantly better. Additionally we have recently found that a small amount of grease thinly applied inside the magazine resolves the loading problem with the vast majority of ammo.

My own solution not approved by anyone
I got the federal ammo to feed with minimal issue if it’s the on the top 10 rounds (the first 10 to exit the magazine). The bottom 10 has to be ammo that feeds without issue.

Works fantastic after a break-in period

Took a little bit of time to break it in (follow the video instructions!) but once broken in it works fantastically.
I loaded up 20 rounds (with some difficulty the first time, as expected) and worked it about 50 times with the provided tool until it loosened up.
I left it loaded full for 24 hours, unloaded, re-loaded, then worked it with the tool some more. By this time it was working well without sticking.
I repeated the process one more time the next day and now it works flawlessly.
I'm very happy with this magazine and I'll definitely be picking up a couple more in the future!

I couldn't find any mags for a Ranger 101.23 but these looked close. I had to grind the front edge of the mag a little bit and its still a little tight in the gun but now I can shoot 20 rounds at a time instead of just 1.

Great magazine. They have tight tolerances, so do require a little break in (really just a little, 3 mags). Runs perfect.
