Product Description

These are in stock.

20 round capacity for the MK II bolt action by savage. Also fits Lakefield Mark II rifles since they are basically the same.

These magazines are fully laser cut, and are welded instead of crimped together.

View holes at 3,5,10,15 and 20.

Please note we suggest a break in process as shown in video below. Magazine feed will be slightly sticky the first couple uses.

Please note that some longer bullet profiles result in stiff loading and sluggish feeding as the added length prevents them from stacking correctly.

Here is a sample of bullets we have on hand. Both the ones indicated with the arrows did feed, however it is difficult to load to 20 rounds.

20 round mag for Savage MK II .22lr rifle. (03:46)
These should be done around March of 2020. We will most likely also have magazines for Remington 511, Remington Nylon 77/mohawk 10c. Remington 541/581 and possibly CZ 452 as well. Video has been compressed to reduce bandwidth, lighting was not great anyway (27mb vs 540 mb). So a little pixelation may be visible.

  1. Great Quality Magazine 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Aug 2020

Follow the break in guidelines of the video and you have a great working magazine. The magazines I bought from Csspecs work a lot better than the magazine that came with the rifle, I gave the factory magazine the same break in treatment that is recommended for the Csspecs ones but it still doesn't feed as well as the larger capacity ones.

  2. (contact customer service please) I cant fit more than 11 rounds in it, too tight 1 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Aug 2020

Really disappointed, I took it apart and oiled it really well but the Winchester HP 22LR rounds get bound up after 10 rounds and I can not fit more than 11 rounds in it.

Csspecs: I'm probably wasting my time because no one ever comes back to see if there was a reply, but please contact customer service.. I think you have the spring installed under the follower legs or you need to try a different ammo type.. If it's not one of those two we would love to help you but we have no idea who you are.... Edit: I just spent an hour updating the website to require email addresses because none of you MK2 guys contacts us, you leave a negative review and are never heard from again.

  3. Doesnt extract 3 Star Review

Posted by on 31st Jul 2020

I really don't want to do a review of this magazine cuz I feel there's something I may be missing after you set and you tinker with it moving it up and down the magazine will feed with certain ammo however the extractors are not catching on the ends of the rounds so every time you load around you have to push a rod down the end of the barrel to extract shell I don't know what's going on Any input would be greatly appreciated as that is the only problem that I have with it and I will be more than happy to do a actual review if I can get a solution to that problem I would greatly greatly rate at more stars as I have been looking for more than a 10-round for this gun for 3 years I would like to also know the exact date that this magazine formerly came out for sale

Csspecs: Sounds like your extractors are missing or are damaged or are otherwise not working. I'd be happy to help you solve this since it does not sound like a magazine issue. I don't have any way of contacting you since there is no identifying information on this review. Please contact us.

  4. It’s way too tight! 3 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Jul 2020

I understand that I have to break the magazine in before it gets easier to slide in the ammo. But the break in was horrible, it took me so long and too much effort as the ammo got stuck and it’s really hard to push them down. The quality is top notch but it’s just too much work for me.

Csspecs: It's likely you are using ammo with a longer bullet profile, if you use the other types you'll likely find they load easy..

  5. Good magazines after breaking them in 5 Star Review

The loading tool is a must when breaking in new mags. After breaking them in they load and cycle without issues, I have went through couple hundred rounds so far and no issues.

  6. Just as described. Great quality. 5 Star Review

These magazines are made of high quality products. They are just as described. I would purchase it again. This fits perfectly into the savage mark II.

  7. This completes the Savage MK II 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Jun 2020

Savage is a great company. Their customer service is the industry standard, and their rifles are accurate right out of the box. The Savage MK II is the gold standard bolt action .22lr.

But the magazines suck. They are flimsy and will eventually fall apart, so the next time you pull that bolt back, the rounds spew out like a fountain and everything turns to shit. They are disposable magazines. I’ve gone through like 5 of them. No joke. And there were no solutions until now.

The Csspecs magazine is outstanding. It’s built better to last., the welds are going to hold forever, and 20 rounds is more than 10 (although I would love a csspecs 10 rounder). The break in procedure is important. The mag is damn stiff, but it does get easier to load the more you shoot it. And I shoot it as fast as I can and it feeds reliably.

I’m stoked that somebody makes a magazine for this gun that’s actually going to last. Highly recommend for those who shoot the crap out of their MK II’s.

  9. Just Plain Works 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th May 2020

I've had problems getting my Savage to feed form the factory 10 round mags. If I load about 7 in them, they work fine. OTherwise it just jams up and causes huge frustration. Decided to take a gamble on these and see if we had a winner...and WE HAVE A WINNER! Fed flawlessly. Be sure and follow the break-in instructions and don't get discouraged loading that first magazine full. You will not be disappointed once you are running them in your gun. I had been wavering on selling the Mark II (which is a tack driver) in favor of a Ruger Precision Rimfire due to magazine issues, but now that isn't happening. Gonna sell the Ruger instead. Thank you CSSpecs for a really good product. Solved my problem. I'll be buying a coupe more from you.
