20 round capacity for the MK II bolt action by savage. Also fits Lakefield Mark II rifles since they are basically the same.
Does NOT fit the Savage 62 64. If you think it might fit a rifle not listed above please ask BEFORE ordering.
These magazines are fully laser cut, and are welded instead of crimped together.
View holes at 3,5,10,15 and 20.
Magazine is Carbon steel with a molten salt nitride finish, stainless steel follower.
Please note we suggest a break in process as shown in video below. Magazine feed will be slightly sticky the first couple uses.
Please note that some longer bullet profiles result in stiff loading and sluggish feeding as the added length prevents them from stacking correctly.
Here is a sample of bullets we have on hand. Both the ones indicated with the arrows did feed, however it is difficult to load to 20 rounds.
Rimfire magazines are restricted in many cases just like centerfire.

Very difficult to load. Maybe it needs to be broken in….without the handy loading tool I would have sent it back or tossed it. Hoping it gets easier with time….and maybe I got one that is a little off spec.

Dave, this is a self inflicted problem. Not all .22lr ammo is the same. We have a notice in checkout to read the product description because it contains useful information. Obviously you didn't bother to do that. How about you try using different ammo? How about doing the break in process shown in the video?

Will not stay latched to rifle and can not get ahold of anyone to ask ? Otherwise seems like a nice clip.

So we have been having an occasional issue with loose magazines, it's not very common and we suspect it is a bad batch of magazine latch springs, it's likely a slight adjustment to the latch spring could correct the problem.

feeds flawlessly, appears to be laser welded together rather than pressed like the OEM savage magazines. included loader is nice too and makes loading a breeze! will buy a few more in the future.

The magazine functions well with no feeding or extraction issues. However, during the loading process you have to be a little careful and occasionally tap the magazine to get the ammo to seat in place. This seems to only occur as the magazine nears being full. Otherwise I’m happy with this product.

After loading 15 rounds I have to tap the magazine to get the spring to push up and create tension, but other then that it runs fine

This solid little magazine exceeded my expectations. Quick shipping and a very robust construction. If you have trouble loading them past 15, put your purse down and use both hands.
Csspecs: We suggest not using excessive force to load, normally trying a different ammo is best. Several common rounds of .22lr load with minimal effort to the full 20 round capacity.

The mag is solid but edges are sharp. I filed them smooth. Most importantly it won't load smoothly past 13. I am using Remington "Golden Bullet" HP. I'll try Federal next like the video shows.
Csspecs:
It's possible that it got damaged in shipping. Clearances are very tight on 22lr ammo. Another thing is if you took the magazine apart is that the spring needs to be carefully inserted into the follower otherwise it wads up terribly.

Magazine started out stiff and bound up some when loading it. After cycling it a few times and using the supplied loading aid it runs great.

This tiny little banana mag does very well in my Savage Minimalist, I've ran all different ammo without an issue.
