  1. Mag Fit & Quality 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Apr 2024

The quality of these mags are great ! Got the 20s and 30s. Lock up in the gun easy and tight, no slop. Have not been to the range yet with them.

  2. Difficulty seating and failure to feed on first use 2 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jun 2021

I was very excited to try out my 2 new 20 round magazines after reading all the glowing reviews online however my first range trip was riddled with issues on the first few magazines. My factory 10 round mag fed soft tips and fmj without issue albeit with a little wobble. The 1 csspecs 20 round mag I tried however while locking up tight failed to feed one of the first fmjs bending the tip and rendering the round unusable. Next came a light primer strike with the mag but I'll chalk that up too a bad round. I will continue to use them and break them in but this was my first impression.

Csspecs: The issue is an unfinished third lug polishing from the factory. Very common on the 6.5 grendel guns. Your lucky it feeds from factory magazines as many of them won't.

  3. Awesome. Better than 10 rd that came with it 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th May 2021

I have only 250 rd or so between the 2 20s and the 2 30s. No feed issues at all. The 10 rd that came with the rifle have had 2 feed issues so these are a nice addition to my kit

  4. Quality 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Dec 2020

These mags are some of the best built akm mags I have seen. They are robust yet light. They fit tightly in my Vepr, but not overly tight to the point they cannot be removed easily. I bought 4 and I will most likely buy 4 of the 30 round mags. Well done.

  5. Very Good Magazines - Break-In Required 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Apr 2020

Excellent build quality, sturdy, and lightweight. One view hole for the 5th round and one for the 20th. The metal does not seem to be heat treated because it is somewhat malleable. Could be useful if you need to adjust for fit, but it fit perfectly in my late model slant-cut VEPR with no adjustments.

A note on break-in: mine did not cycle correctly at first. It seemed too tight for my bolt to pick up rounds (123 gr brass). After manually cycling 3 full magazines of steel cased rounds, however, it now cycles smoothly with both case types.

Full-disclosure, I have not fired from the magazine yet due to range availability, but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. Fine magazine, thanks Csspecs.

    Csspecs:
Magazines are heat treated however the feed lips are a single layer of metal and it is not extremely thick, they are roughly equal to AR-15 M-14 or FAL magazine feed lips.. The corrugations also taper toward the tips which does make them more malleable, this was needed to get the correct feed angle.

  6. Happy Medium 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Nov 2019

This mag is fantastic! It fits more solid than the factory mags and functions flawlessly. Feels very solid and built to last. 20 rounds is more practical than 30 and more fun than 10. It's the happy medium! But of course I also bought a 30 rounder! Haha
