10 round capacity for the MK II bolt action by savage. Also fits Lakefield Mark II rifles since they are basically the same.
Does NOT fit the Savage 62 64. If you think it might fit a rifle not listed above please ask BEFORE ordering.
Finish is molten salt nitride over carbon steel, with a stainless follower.
These magazines are fully laser cut, and are welded instead of crimped together.
View holes at 3,5,10.
Magazine feed will be slightly sticky the first couple uses.
We recommend inserting the magazine on an open bolt (as stated in rifles owners manual).

Works of if you only have 8 rounds in there. With 9 and for sure 10 it won’t feed. Atleast it doesn’t come apart and spit all the rounds out like the factory ones.
Csspecs:
Please see the detailed video on break in process. Additionally a small amount of grease on the inside of the magazine helps with break in.

These magazines are great!!! They are so much better than the original equipment. The oem magazines from Savage would spit unfired rounds out of the top. These run flawlessly.

Don’t hesitate to buy these magazine for the savage mark 2. After buying these magazine, I don’t have no more mis-feeding. I was very irritated by the oem savage magazine that wouldn’t allow me to reload the next round in to the chamber. With these CSSPECS mag I was able to load and eject every round through my rifle without mid-feeding 10 times. Finally I can trust my mark 2 again for small game hunting. Thanks csspecs for a great product.

savage 22lr stock magazines fall apart sometimes so I am going to give this mag a try ..looks like it will hold together better ..The sharp corners and edges are a little concerning though ..can not wait to try it.

The OEM mags tend to spread apart when the crimping wears out. These do not do that. However you need to spend some time with a file to round off the corners on these in order for them to feed smoothly, otherwise they hang up on the corners.

The magazines break in nicely after a couple runs through them. The removal base plate for cleaning is an essential feature not available on OEM magazines. The laser cut and welded construction is superior to factory magazines. The stainless follower and spring provide consistent tension for proper feeding. I will recommend these to other MKII shooters.

I went to the range 2 days ago and tested the CSSPEC Savage Mk II 10 round magazine. I was able to load ammo easily, it fed without a hitch, shot 100+ rounds without a jam. When home, the mag disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled in a jiffy. This mag is well worth the price. I will be ordering several more.

I just received my CSSPECS Savage Mk II 10 round magazine but have not had a chance yet to try it at the range. The CSSPECS Savage Mk II 10 round magazine addresses several shortcomings of the stock magazine. The construction is top notch, no "pressed" tabs to hold the magazine together, but rather the tabs are spot welded, and the mag is built to last. Another important feature of this magazine is the ability to dis-assemble the magazine for cleaning. The stock magazines cannot be disassembled without damaging the bottom plate. Finally, the follower in the stock mags are made of plastic, but the follower in the CSSPEC Savage Mk II magazine is made of stainless steel. Much more durable than plastic. Overall, these CSSPEC magazines may cost a few dollars more that the stock mags, but you are getting twice unmatched quality of manufacture and materials. I will post another review after I finally get to test it.

Magazine appears to be well built and I like the removable base plate for cleaning. What I don't like is that the two magazines I received both shave lead from the side of the bullet when feeding. Maybe this can be resolved by bending the feed lips but I'm hesitant to do that.
