1. CSSPECS Savage Mk II magazine Addresses shortcomings of stock mag

   I just received my CSSPECS Savage Mk II 10 round magazine but have not had a chance yet to try it at the range. The CSSPECS Savage Mk II 10 round magazine addresses several shortcomings of the stock magazine. The construction is top notch, no "pressed" tabs to hold the magazine together, but rather the tabs are spot welded, and the mag is built to last. Another important feature of this magazine is the ability to dis-assemble the magazine for cleaning. The stock magazines cannot be disassembled without damaging the bottom plate. Finally, the follower in the stock mags are made of plastic, but the follower in the CSSPEC Savage Mk II magazine is made of stainless steel. Much more durable than plastic. Overall, these CSSPEC magazines may cost a few dollars more that the stock mags, but you are getting twice unmatched quality of manufacture and materials. I will post another review after I finally get to test it.

2. Dissapointed

   Magazine appears to be well built and I like the removable base plate for cleaning. What I don't like is that the two magazines I received both shave lead from the side of the bullet when feeding. Maybe this can be resolved by bending the feed lips but I'm hesitant to do that.

3. Much Better than the OEM Mags

   I ordered 2 10 round Savage Mk II mags. I followed the break-in procedure they recommended before first use. They work perfectly and are much better constructed than the OEM mags.

8. CSPECS’ mags

   I purchased 4 20 round mags. for my Stiller 2500 XR benchrest rifle. They work great. They’re just getting broken in. I can run shots very quickly with minimal reloading. I have shot 9 perfect scores 400 with 40 X’s. We shoot NRA 50 meter reduced to 50 yard. I can’t say enough how they have enhanced my shooting. Love them. Tom

9. Finally mags that work !

   Wasn’t shooting the good old Mk II mostly because of feeding issues with both OEM and aftermarket magazines. When I received your mags I noticed the high quality of materials and construction. And I have had 100% feeding! One note is that when you insert the mag have the bolt open and gently push the top round down before closing the bolt. Thanks for completely changing the shooting experience from frustration to satisfaction!!!!

10. works beter than OEM

    OEM mags for this gun are a no go. Both mine went in the trash. I got two of these, perfect so far (about 500 rounds).
