10 round capacity for the MK II bolt action by savage. Also fits Lakefield Mark II rifles since they are basically the same.
Does NOT fit the Savage 62 64. If you think it might fit a rifle not listed above please ask BEFORE ordering.
Finish is molten salt nitride over carbon steel, with a stainless follower.
These magazines are fully laser cut, and are welded instead of crimped together.
View holes at 3,5,10.
Magazine feed will be slightly sticky the first couple uses.
We recommend inserting the magazine on an open bolt (as stated in rifles owners manual).

Like so many others, my factory 5 round magazines started squirting rounds out of the top after about three or four uses. Was lucky enough to find the Csspecs 10 round mags and bought two. Both feed smooth with no issues. One did latch a little wonky at first, but that went away, no issues on the other. Very satisfied. I contacted savage about the factory magazine and the mailed me a replacement 5 round mag, with has never been opened. :)

Its a good solid mag, much better than OEM mags. But the fit allows the rounds to sit high in the action. If I do not pull back on the mag when pushing the bolt forward it can cause the round to hit above the chamber and cause an issue.
I got tow 15 rounders before, and they work great. They also seem to be thicker then my new 10 rounder.

I know there is a "break-in" but mags at this price shouldn't need one. Rough and gritty feel. I'll use it for a while and see.

Haven't used yet but they look great , much better than stock mags. I do wish like heck that they would make a 5 rounder . All my shooting is from bags so 10 rounders are tough

It was a little sticky at first. But after working the spring a little bit, it functioned perfectly. Now I can put a mag in without all the bullets flying back out onto the bench , which is what all my oem mags do. I will definately need to get more.

These magazines are by FAR superior to the Savage factory magazines! The factory magazines separate at the stamped metal connections within a year. Cartridges will spray out the magazine when they fail.
No repairing it then. I now have 4 ten round mags from Csspec and couldn't be more satisfied.

I have an old pre-accutrigger MK II with about 30,000 round count, or more. The factory mags are fine, until they start to loosen up and come apart, which doesn't take long and usually happens during a match.
I bought two of the 10 round mags. They didn't latch in my old rifle, but with a little bit of filing and fitting they work great. Feeding is ultra-reliable if I load 7 or less rounds, but I usually only load 5, so it's a non-issue for me. Again, it's an old rifle and Savage has made major changes over the years. I'm sure they work fine in more recent production rifles.
I now have a few thousand rounds through each of my two mags and have been very happy with them in every respect. The finish shows normal wear from use, but they are still solid and reliable, and look good.
I really recommend these mags for their durability and reliability. They are a quantum leap over the Savage factory mags.

Bought these 10 rd mags to replace the factory mags for my Savage MKII that would cause cartridges to nosedive and not chamber. First trip to the range the CSSPEC 10 rd mags ran perfectly. No spring break in and easy to load. Mags delivered in sealed plastic with some protectant and packed in a bubble envelope. Cheap shipping. Highly recommended. Buy and see for yourself.
