20 round capacity for the MK II bolt action by savage. Also fits Lakefield Mark II rifles since they are basically the same.
Does NOT fit the Savage 62 64. If you think it might fit a rifle not listed above please ask BEFORE ordering.
These magazines are fully laser cut, and are welded instead of crimped together.
View holes at 3,5,10,15 and 20.
Magazine is Carbon steel with a molten salt nitride finish, stainless steel follower.
Please note we suggest a break in process as shown in video below. Magazine feed will be slightly sticky the first couple uses.
Ammo selection:
Please note that some longer bullet profiles result in stiff loading and sluggish feeding as the added length causes binding in the magazine.
Here is a sample of bullets we have on hand. Both the ones indicated with the arrows did feed, however it is difficult to load to 20 rounds.
Some ammo will only work loaded to 10 or 15 rounds. If you use the correct loadings, the magazines load easily.
Interestly many bulk pack loadings cycle very well.

Rimfire magazines are restricted in many cases just like centerfire.

Very nicely done folks! I was able to load to capacity and cycled with no issues. The videos are helpful as well as the included tool. Thank you!

Geez this thing is sticky. Before I turn you away, I'm breaking this in with a combo of stingers, mini mags, and Remington at random. Left the Mag loaded with 20 for 24 hours in now sub zero temperatures outside. And I haven't lubricated it. Thumbing the rounds sown and up hundreds of times. This is not how (different ammo, temp) it's recommended to break this in. And I haven't even tried to feed the rifle with it yet. So don't run away from this. The mag as 'sharp' edges as does the loading tool. Buffed those out with a cordless drill, but that should have been done at the factory. 3 days of breaking this in, removing ammo, reloading it again. The break time is a lot longer than a couple of loads. However it is improving.

Bought a few 20rd mags for my mark ii and I was not disappointed one bit. For about the same price of its 10rd counter part this is a steal by all means. Plus the little bullet release tool it super convenient. All in all a very worthy investment if you enjoy shooting and not tlreloading

Purchased 2 magazines.Have not had a chance to shoot mag yet, but I did do the break in procedure and cycled both magazines through the firearm several times without a hitch. I’m sure they will work flawlessly.
Great mag, probably better than the factory mag that came with the firearm.

Awesome product, fairly sharp edges, but works great!
Also be sure to check packaging for mag loader before you throw it out! It's tiny, ya might miss it1

Kind of cheesy and sloppy. Have to pull the bolt back just for it to lock into gun. Not impressed at all. Need to find a better quality one
Csspecs: The savage manual says to load magazines on an open bolt, what it doesn't say is why. Loading on a closed bolt damages the magazines. That's why the MK II magazines are know for splitting open. Since our magazine is welded together it lacks the flexibility to insert on a closed bolt.

Nice to have more ammo in your 22 bolt action rifle. Can't wait till they make a 20 round mag for the savage model 93 bolt action rifle.
