20 round capacity for the MK II bolt action by savage. Also fits Lakefield Mark II rifles since they are basically the same.
Does NOT fit the Savage 62 64. If you think it might fit a rifle not listed above please ask BEFORE ordering.
These magazines are fully laser cut, and are welded instead of crimped together.
View holes at 3,5,10,15 and 20.
Magazine is Carbon steel with a molten salt nitride finish, stainless steel follower.
Please note we suggest a break in process as shown in video below. Magazine feed will be slightly sticky the first couple uses.
Ammo selection:
Please note that some longer bullet profiles result in stiff loading and sluggish feeding as the added length causes binding in the magazine.
Here is a sample of bullets we have on hand. Both the ones indicated with the arrows did feed, however it is difficult to load to 20 rounds.
Some ammo will only work loaded to 10 or 15 rounds. If you use the correct loadings, the magazines load easily.
Interestly many bulk pack loadings cycle very well.

Rimfire magazines are restricted in many cases just like centerfire.

I checked lots of these out before deciding to buy from CSS . The magazine came on time and did have some oil on it which I was glad to see. It fits great and operates perfectly. I just got it yesterday so I immediately loaded and fired 60 rounds thru it with no issues at all. I will now order a couple more.

My mk2 is in .17 hm2. I saw this company while researching the hm2. I thought great. Thank need this, too. I got two 20 round mags. The turn around was fantastic. I followed the instructions on the included loader and it worked as stated. I broke in like they say and both mags work great and function great. I have not even shot it yet waiting on the scope. But I got a couple of .22 lr safety rounds the rifle did great. I chopped off bit to close the bolt. Even so, there were no hang ups. Now CSSPEC how about a 20 round mag for my savage model4 in.22 magnum. Anyway. I thank these mags are as good or even better than my 10 round factory mag. Keep up the good work and fast turnaround. Steve

Recieved the magazine promptly. Loaded the magazine and did the break in twice as in the video on the website. The first three or four rounds chambered in the rifle were stiff. It was a new rifle (never been fired) and a new magazine. After the first few rounds all others chambered smoothly. Magazine may not have been seated correctly at first, but worked like factory magazines after first few rounds. Very happy with product and plan on purchasing other capabilities in this magazine.

durable finish and lock in place just fine. Springs are stiff trying to get all twenty rounds it but I'm sure it'll get easier with time.

I followed the video for breaking in the 20 round magazine and I haven't had any issues with it. I've decided to purchase another. So far this magazine has worked well.

The mags didn’t lock into place unless you wiggle them back and forth and side to side. Quality was awesome.
Csspecs:
Could be something up with the magazine catch. The magazine catch is a strip of spring steel and they do eventually fatigue and stop holding as tightly.

Works well, really like the little loading tool that came with it. My local gunsmith thought was pretty cool too.
