I was simply in the market for something other than the unobtainium factory mags or the unreliable, yet pricey, polymer aftermarket ones currently available. But what I got was a top quality, first class magazine. Molot needs to source its mags from Csspecs, as these are better than the originals. Well done! I have two more already on the way and will add more as they become available. Now, in the name of all that is good, help us out of the 7.62x54r limbo!

Since I somehow managed to be first to get an order in, I figured I would try to be first to review the CSSPECS Vepr-12 metal mag.
First of all, the mags arrived well packed and in a timely manner. The mags were individually wrapped in protective rust preventive paper, then in plastic bags, and finally wrapped in brown paper, well packed in a USPS Priority Mail box.
I inspected all mags for consistency in finish, fit, and function. I was not disappointed!
The black nitride finish was even on all parts.
Regarding the fit..there was no observed wobble, a very tight (not too tight, PERFECT!)fit that functioned flawlessly with the bolt hold open function of the Vepr 12.
It easily slid out when the mag removal lever was depressed.
I loaded all 4 mags with 2 3/4 shells...2 with rifled slugs, two with 00 buckshot (both were Herter's high brass).
All 4 mags functioned without any issues!
I am extremely happy with these mags, and would not hesitate to purchase them when made available again.
Kudos to CSSPECS for a very high quality product at a VERY reasonable price.
