Vepr 12 gauge 8 round steel magazine
Product Description
Stamped steel magazine for Vepr 12 shotgun.
Magazine is all metal. Extra thick welded feed lips for long service life.
Finish is black nitride on all parts
Magazine can be loaded with 8 shells on a closed bolt.
Magazine is made for both 2 3/4" & 3" shells.
Some of the longer roll crimped 3" may not be compatible.
Some fitting may be required. See video section for video fitting guide.
These can fit the following models with some fitting being needed in many cases:
Saiga-12 030 magwell, Citadel RS-S1, Garaysar fear 103.
These DO NOT FIT the following:
DDI-12, SDS Imports Cheetah-12, Lynx-12, Kalashnikov USA KS-12(T), Komrad, Cherry's TAK-47, SDS imports Civet-12, Black Aces Tactical Pro series, Any Remington, Any Mossberg, JTS-M12 AK or AR.

Bought only two in the first release as I was not sure what to expect... I should have bought 10... Absolutely perfect from the fit and finish to the function and even the packaging....TOP NOTCH. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ... there are plenty of 54r vepr owners that would help you sell out of mags also.. HINT HINT ...

Nice mag BUT

Bought one to test and see how good it is. Mag is nice and fits well but had an issue during firing - fired 4 rounds and then the bolt hold open caught on the rim of the 5th round and locked up the gun. Not good since I was shooting in a local match. I watched the video as posted in the one review and I had the mag inserted properly. What is the fix for this?

Best Vepr-12 magazine

I bought two of these, and wish I purchased more. I did have to work on the lug a bit for positive lock into my Vepr, but that says more about the inconsistency of the gun manufacturer then the magazine.
I did find these mags easier to fit then Molot mags.
Not a problem with cycling. I will definitely pick up a few more when the next batch comes out.

Excellent quality and consistency

$57.50 seemed a bit high, but no comparable product, and a small business has to cover development costs. I went for three of these. All are identical in fit and finish, so great consistency. All have identical tight, no wobble fit in my gun. Stout construction with crisp folds and clean welds, beautiful and uniform black finish. I hope the price comes down, but will still buy more if it doesn't. Follower is a little sticky, both rounds going in and coming out, but this will wear in and doesn't really concern me. Great product!!

Good product which can be made a great design by changing the relief cut on the magazine catch so a cartridge rim will not catch the BHO device as shown in this youtube :

Happy that Csspec developed a USA source of magazines. Better product as compared to the Molot magazine/materials, but you have to remember that there is a 6-8oz load increase per steel .vs. polymer magazine. The weight adds up considering this product holds 8pcs-12ga shells.
Hope Csspec will address the relief cut/rim catching on the BHO device in the next manufacturing run as this can be real time penalty to clear in a 3-gun match.

These magazines are nice. They are much stronger than the factory magazines. I prefer then over the molots solely because they are steel. I know they aren't "original" to the gun, but if I run out if ammunition, at least I could club someone with my empty magazines and know they won't give out. I hope to see more get released (5 round and 10 round capacities).

These magazines are very well built and locked into the gun without any modification. The packaging and shipping are first class.

I cannot say anything to the function of these magazines just yet. As far as quality goes, these are great. The steel is nice and thick and I doubt that the magazines will get worn out with use. If these work perfect at the range, I will order some more.

These magazines are built like tanks and are of very high quality. I shot several full mags out of my Vepr upon receiving magazines from the first batch with no problems. I can't wait for the 10 and 12 rounders! Very satisfied.

Robust isn't even the word to sum this mag up. I dare say you could use this thing as a E-tool. This is my first CSSPEC product and won't be my last. I can't wait for the other capacity offerings.
